Thanks to all who reached how to make sure that I hadn't absconded from this mortal plane. The simple answer for my absence was in reflecting on reward vs. effort. It's also a pretty busy time at work and not to delve too deeply into my personal life but both my kids are getting ready to move on to new schools and that is in itself a full-time job (though now I look toward the college process with almost a sense of relief!) While I love writing longer pieces on books that I think should be on the radar, the majority of what I have to offer can be posted in quick snippets and also have a limited shelf-life if they're to be useful.
I continue to read and take screenshots of things that pique my interest so with my head held shamefully low I will be reopening the MeWe site with a few changes and leaving this site to float aimlessly through the endless void of abandoned vanity projects. I heard from followers that they really wanted to keep the chat site open there as well and I think it makes sense to try to consolidate. (I also heard from a few of you that the interactive feedback process on this host is also a real pain...)
As for the videos, they will return sometime between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I will be doing a few 'guest shots' including one this evening with one of the consummate comic writers in the game, Nico from Comic Book Wars this evening if you happen to be home on a Saturday night with nothing else going on.
